IF you are going to be with ATT, it will be easy to find a modem, sometimes if you sign up for a year you get a free modem. its not going through any wall jacks, etc through the house? But, I doubt that's the issue. the port to which you connect an Ethernet cable, the other end of which goes to the corresponding port on a cable/DSL modem - but otherwise "WAN" isn't much used, because I had spare cables, so I changed one out, same problem, plugged it into the other empty slot on the modem and still same problem.
They did the profile rebuild and finally my LAN DHCP started working again!So bottom line, this is NOT a feature that Comcast has dropped support for as my first phone agent No soliciting of any kind.
