Chrome is no option for me as I hate it's UI and IE is a virus as far as I am concerned. That way I am able to keep the page but stop the rotating content and reclaim the cpu from greedy pages. This is with Windows XP service pack 3 and a Pentium 4 processor. Menus need ages to open and menus entries only become visible when moving the mouse cursor over them.

I was really digging FF and I'd like to get this resolved. Sometimes that's why questions don't get answered. When I installed Chrome and made it the default browser, it made Scottrader Elite run like molassas in the dead of winter. Even tried to find some clue by using Sysinternal's RegistryMonitor and FileMonitor tools but didn't come up with a result.
